Fascial Stretch Therapy
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)
FST is a gentle and pain free method of table-based assisted stretching, focusing on releasing connective tissue (fascia) adhesions to achieve optimal flexibility, strength, performance, and pain relief. Through the use of traction, PNF, and rhythmic breath-based undulating movements, FST seeks to improve functioning of the circulatory, nervous and musculoskeletal systems, while decelerating the aging of the body, mind and spirit.
All new clients are are asked to fill out a Health History Questionnaire before the first session, so that the therapist is aware of any current pain or problems. During the first FST session, the client's alignment and limitations will be evaluated for optimal treatment in future sessions.

The GYROTONIC® METHOD
The Gyrotonic® Method, founded by Juliu Horvath, is a beautiful and unique movement training method that uses specialized equipment to aid in the mobilization, lengthening, stabilization and strengthening of the body. Based on principals of Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Dance, and Swimming, the Gyrotonic Method puts an emphasis on the arching, curling, and spiraling movements of the body with undulating movement sequences accompanied by rhythmic breathing patterns. It increases circulation and range of motion, allows for more mobility of the joints, releases rigidity in the spine, stimulates the nervous system, and opens energy pathways. The equipment allows for the body to slowly unwind and distribute tension in the fascia without jarring or compression. From those in need of therapeutic applications to professional dancers and athletes who require a more specified regime, the Gyrotonic Method can accommodate all.
